In the 21st century the emergence of technology have aided society works. In the work place more people are beginning to use technology and that this have changed how the world are connected with each other. As a result, this requires the classroom to change as well. Education still need to focus on the main subjects but at the sametime they need to learn other skills to help them think critically and the emergence of technology have helped and create these skills of critical thinking because there are so much information that emerges on the internet. The role of teacher changes because student can aquire multiple information from different places as a result teacher can act as a guide more than just providing information to the student. Also the teacher needs to slowly move away from traditional pen and paper because there is a world full of information and databases. As a result, it is also important to create and use technology in the classroom to make it relevant for the student. We must also continue to use a variety of information and different technologies so the student can know how to use them and also it will be more practical for them because they will be using it for their entire lives. The teacher can also direct students to the different technology which can help them understand how all the topics are interelated and with technology student can understand that the subjects do not neccessarily stand on its own. The role of the learner is changing because they can learn while they live outside of school or at home. They can also connect with educators and other people through the internet and social media. At the same time they must also be aware of the danger of the internet and the cellphone. They also need to be aware of the danger and how much trust they put on it because there are many information that are not reliable on the internet. Student can become independent learner by searching information with easier access than ever before. I also believe that technology should be included in the classroom to help aid students to become successful and be able to relate to real life. I think technology gives a practical aspect for the student and allow student to find it practical because they use those technology in their daily life.
